POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Dogs must be friendly, safe to be around and non-aggressive to people and other animals and have no history of biting.

Dog and cats must have current rabies vaccinations.

A detailed journal of your pet's visits will be left after each visit.

Reservations for services are not confirmed unless we have contacted you by phone or email.

Payment is due in full on or before start of service. Please leave payment on the counter to be picked up on first visit. We accept cash or checks. There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.

You will receive ONE FREE 30 minute pet sit or dog walk for each referral that uses our services.

Visits are scheduled between 8:00am and 10:00pm. We cannot guarantee specific times except in the case of a pet needing medication at a particular time. Give us a preferred time and we will make every effort to be there at the requested time. Timing depends on the type of pets we are caring for, location of each visit, pets on medication, weather and how previous visits go.

We will not pet sit for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions. In those circumstances we suggest the pet be boarded with your veterinarian.

A key must be provided at the time of the consultation. For security reasons, all keys are identified by pet names not addresses. Keys can be kept by Paws and More Pet Sitting for future pet sitting visits or returned after service.

We understand unexpected circumstances can occur and you may need to cancel your pet sitting service. There is no charge for cancellations.

Refunds for paid visits that are cancelled are given in the form of credits for future services.

During extreme temperature conditions dog walks will be limited to 15 minutes followed by indoor play-time for the remainder of the visit.

It is your responsibility to pet proof all areas of your home where your pet has access. This includes investigating fences, gates, latches, bedroom doors, etc. We will not be liable for any injuries or property damage that occurs due to an unsafe home environment.

It is recommended that you inform your veterinarian that you are using Paws and More Pet Sitting services and check veterinary payment policy. All emergency veterinary charges are the full responsibility of the pet’s owner. There is a fee of $25 an hour for any emergency trips to the vet. It is recommended that your credit card information be left with your veterinarian for payment.

We will make every attempt to clean up after your pet. Please leave out paper towels and cleaning products you want us to use to clean up after your pet. We are not responsible for any damage your pet may do to your personal property.

Pet sitting visits are usually done by myself, Donetta Bair, but in the event of a personal emergency, illness or injury another qualified individual may fulfill the responsibilities set forth in the service agreement.

All client information is kept confidential and will not be shared with any group or marketing firm.
